Rates + Fees

In New Jersey, each Title agency is required to file their rates and fees with the Department of Banking and Insurance. Agents are then bound by law to only charge the approved rates. Therefore, from agency to agency rates are essentially the same. Each real estate transaction is unique and fees may need to be calculated in relation to the sale or refinance price. Paralegal Charges

The following is an estimate for searches, endorsements and settlement fees:

Documents such as deeds, assignments, releases, subordinations, discharges and warrants of satisfaction can be prepared at an additional nominal fee.

Refinance, Recast or Substituion Loans

When a refinance, recast or substitution loan is made to the same borrower on the same property, the following rates shall apply to so much of the new policy as represents the face amount of the mortgage or mortgages other than construction loans being refinanced:

$500,001 - $2 million add $2.25
Over $2 million add $1.75

Standard Underwriting Rate Schedule

The standard underwriting rate for either owner's insurance, leasehold insurance, or mortgage insurance, shall be calculated according to the following rate schedule:
